About the Author Hank Buntin has been a successful athlete, instructor, and coach in competitive swimming, for over 60 years. in New Jersey. 45 years of his career at the Summit Area YMCA, and concurrently,35 years, as the head coach of the Crestview Swim/Tennis Club in New Providence. His high school experience includes 5 years at Snyder High School in Jersey City and 9 years at New Providence High School. He is married with 5 children and 5 grandchildren. He is a retired teacher of Biological sciences from New Providence High School, and recently retired as the Head Coach of the Summit Y "SEALS". He presently is an assistant coach, teaching stroke mechanics, at the very prestigious, Berkeley Aquatic Club, in Berkeley Heights, A list of the awards and other recognitions of service are listed below: -Awarded patent for swim paddle invention-"Swim-Mit" -One of the first coaches designated "Master Coach" by the National YMCA - New Jersey High School Swimming Coach of the Year 1989 -Shuart Reed Award for outstanding community service to youth -First recipient of the National YMCA Coach of the Year 2002 .
