About the Author Dr. Boss received her DVM and a BS in biology from the University of Illinois. She is a past president of the Milwaukee VMA and chairperson for the AAHA Annual Conference Development Committee. She is also a member of the Advisory Board for PetCare TV, was the editor for PetsVetsAndYou.com and consults with Pet Health Network.

Dr. Boss has also written articles for Trends, DVM and other veterinary magazines, and is a frequent speaker at major veterinary conferences, including AAHA, TNAVC, WVC & AVMA. Her practice was awarded the Practice of Excellence Award from Veterinary Economics. Dr. Boss currently owns and manages Best Friends Veterinary Center (previously Grafton Small Animal Hospital).
