About the Author Audrey Mullender is Professor of Social Work at the University of Warwick and a founder of their Centre for the Study of Safety and Wellbeing. Among her many areas of academic expetise, she is particularly well known as a pioneer of research and practice attention to the issue of children and domestic violence. Her many publications include Rethinking Domestic Violence (Routledge, 1996) and Gender and Groupwork (Routledge, 2003).

Gill Hague is a founding member and co-director of the Domestic Violence Research Group at the University of Bristol, and has produced many publications on domestic violence.
